Tracy Morgan Tickets – Tracy Morgan Backs Up Comedy with Depth

Comedian Tracy Morgan once seemed like a one-dimensional comic who thrived in the world of sketch comedy on Saturday Night Live. As his fame has grown, however, the depth of him both as an actor and a man has emerged.  His career is blossoming on television and expanding into movies. In the spring, he hit the theaters in a big way, starring in Cop Out with Bruce Springsteen and Death at a Funeral with Chris Rock and Martin Lawrence. He also recently doled out marriage advice on an episode of the Jerry Seinfeld-created show The Marriage Ref.

His newest film role is even more star-studded. Morgan has been confirmed as a part of the upcoming police film Son of No One. This film will be especially interesting for Morgan, as it is a drama instead of his usual comedic fare. Entertainment sites are reporting that the movie also stars Al Pacino, Channing Tatum, Katie Holmes, Juliette Binoche and many other stars. If Morgan shines in this film, it will open a whole new side of his career that takes him completely out of his comedic comfort zone.

Even with his success, he hasn’t forgotten his first comedic love, which is performing stand-up live on stage. Morgan knows how to have his audiences rolling with laughter, which is why he has such a loyal fan base. He has carved out time in his busy schedule to book standup dates around the country throughout the spring. Some of his stops include Reno, Chicago, Baltimore, Boston and others. He will undoubtedly be booking more dates throughout the summer. Fans of Saturday Night Live undoubtedly now watch Morgan on the hit NBC show 30 Rock. On the show, he plays a caricature version of himself, whose name is Tracy Jordan. The show stars and is created by Tina Fey, who was on Saturday Night Live with Morgan, and also stars Alec Baldwin and Jane Krakowski. Morgan recently appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show, where he was overtaken by emotion while talking about Fey. He expressed his love for her and explained, “She understood that I knew who I was. Where everybody else [said]: ‘Oh, he don’t know. His whole career is chance.’ And she understood that I was making choices. I was making choices on TV. And she not only would write things, she would just encourage me.”

30 Rock is set in New York, and Tracy Morgan doesn’t have to pretend to know what it is like living in the Big Apple. Morgan was born in the Bronx and grew up in a housing project in Brooklyn. From a young age, he loved comedy from a young age, appreciating the humor of comic legends like Richard Pryor and Eddie Murphy. It was necessity, though, that turned him to the comedy stage. As a young adult, he needed money to support his growing family. Comedy fit, and Tracy Morgan has slowly built his career from the ground up, landing on Saturday Night Live in the 1990s.
