okay so on Tuesday August 24th 2010 (my b’day!) im seeing Promises Promises in NYC!!! I am very excited because I am SUCH a Kristin Chenoweth fan. However…im worried that she might not perform this day. you know how sometimes they take a sick day and the understudy comes in? do you think this will happen?? what days do the stars usually take off?? I spent a fortune on these tickets and i really wanna see her. Is there anyway for me to find out?

Lucky you! I love Kristin Chenoweth! There’s no way to predict if she will get ill enough to cancel. However, a professional, well-trained singer like Chenoweth could perform through a typical cold without any problems–she’d have to be in the hospital for her to drop out!
Mondays are typical days off for the theater. Promises, Promises follows this tradition as there are no performances scheduled at all for any Monday. There seems to be every indication, that she and co-star Sean Hayes will be doing all the shows themselves (no alternative cast members are listed on the official website, or ticket venues).
If you want to put yourself completely as ease, you might try calling or contacting the theater, but I’m sure you won’t be disappointed. I’m so jealous!
