Opera Tickets Toronto

When is the best time to buy musical/theatre tickets??

Im planning on going to one with my friends for my b’day in march, and i’ve selected phantom of the opera (playing in canon theatre, toronto). the tickets go on sale on oct. 23, and i was wondering when is the best time to buy them?? should i buy them when they first go on sale? or will the prices drop later on? and also, should i buy them from the official site?? or are there any other legit sites that sell them for cheaper? ive never bought these so please help me.

I suggest purchasing the tickets as soon as possible. Prices will not drop until the day of the show, most likely, to sell to walk-ups and then they most likely will not be good seats. If you are willing to pay some cash and you want good seats, go ahead and buy them ASAP. You’d rather have them now then be sold out later. I also recomend buying them from the theater box office, which you can do online as well, but a “handling” fee is going to be charged. This way, you know you will have accurate photos of the theater and you can decide where you want your seats to be. I know there are other legitimate sites out there, but you will be paying handling fees again… make sure the read the fine print if you do buy them online from anywhere! Good luck! Have fun! Phantom is a classic.. (but see if “Wicked” is coming your way soon, it is awesome!)
