Nyc Discount Broadway Tickets

Lowest Prices for NYC Broadway Tickets? Best Seats?

I want to watch a show at the Foxwoods Theater on Broadway a month from now. Does anyone know where I can find the cheapest prices online or safe-bets when I get there? I was told I could show up early and get “rush” tickets for $30, but that it’s on a first-come-first-serve basis. I’d rather play it safe and secure some seats. Would our concierge have discounts?

Also, it’s my first time in NY and I’m not big into theatre but I’d like to have a decent Broadway experience. Are balcony seats a bad idea? I don’t mind spending a little extra to have a good experience. Basically, I don’t want to leave and feel like I didn’t do Broadway “the right way”. What section(s) would you all recommend?

Your concierge would not have discounts to Spider Man.

You can try your luck at the TKTS booth in Times Square – they sell half price tickets for shows that are not sold out day of. Spider-Man is usually up there. The Foxwoods is a horrific theater, built like an airline hangar. There’s no guarantees it’ll be up there and you might not want to spend an entire afternoon standing in line at TKTS.

I’d just go on and buy the tickets – just make sure you buy them from either the box office or from their provider (I think the Foxwoods uses Ticketmaster) and not from Broadway.com or any other kind of secondary rip off site.

The theater is HUGE (it isn’t that much bigger than most Broadway theaters but it is ill designed and it really looks like you could use it to park planes) and the mezzanine and balcony are very far from the stage. For this show I would go with either front mezzanine or somewhere in the middle of the orchestra if you can afford it. Avoid the very rear of the orchestra it is simply miles from the stage and you will miss flying effects due to the overhang of the mezzanine.

Spider-Man is less authentic Broadway, more theme park ride but it is fairly entertaining.
