New York Broadway Plays
Who currently plays Glinda in the Broadway New York Wicked?
Hi. Thanks for helping me out. =D
Anyways, I’m going to see Wicked in New York in a few weeks, and I thought I’d better research who’s currently playing the lead roles. (As much as I wish I could see the originals- Idina rocks!)
Anyway, the main site (http://www.wickedthemusical.com/#WickedCitiesNewYorkCompany) says that Kendra Kassebaum plays Glinda and Kerry Ellis plays Elphaba. However, when I was trying to look for them singing on youtube, I found some videos titled KENDRA KASSEBAUMS LAST POPULAR and all that.
So my question is:
On October 3rd, who will be playing each role??

Kendra and Kerry will still be in the role because their contracts end closer to the end of the year. Well, Kerry is going back to London.
Kendra Kassebaum’s last popular refers to each of her final performances, and she’s had several, and keeps returning to the show. Most likely it is for last year when she was part of the Broadway cast before Annaleigh Ashford, but now she’s back and Annaleigh is Glinda in Chicago.
Always remember that it is entirely possible that one of the leads will be played by the standby or an understudy.
