London Show Tickets
How long is the box office line at the Old Vic (London) on a show night?
I’m picking up pre-purchased tickets right before a show at the Old Vic on Saturday night. Box office closes at 7 for a 7:30 show. I want to know how early I should get there to wait in line to ensure I get the tickets.
Depends what’s on. At the moment it’s Inherit the Wind with David Troughton in it. Unfortunately Kevin Spacey is also in it, so expect to have a lot of Americans in the audience. Especially since it’s an American play, so they’ll be pretty old ones too.
The box office does NOT close at 7pm for a 7.30 performance. It stays open till at least 7.30; you may not be allowed into the auditorium until the interval if you arrive late.
I suggest you get there at 7 or so, collect your tickets and then have a stiff drink or two to get you through this old warhorse of a play.
