What Was Your Initial Thought When You Heard About Michael Jackson…?

My friends alarm had beeped at 6:00am on a Friday morning and I had stopped at her house that night. The radio was playing ‘Earth Song’, and I was dead confused because Radio 1 never play that! Then, I flipped open my phone and on it I had like 30 messages from my Mum and Dad saying what had happened! I was honestly ready to cry! My friend wasn’t that bothered about him but I’ve loved him since I was little and my parents own every single album he’s ever had, plus my Auntie had tickets to see him at the O2!
I was so shocked, and upset, but I instantly thought someone had killed him, before I heard anything about his cardiac arrest and stuff.
I know loads of people say they love him now, but I’ve always thought he was a legend. Me and my parents weren’t around when Elvis died [my Dad was only 11 and Mum was only 7] so he was totally the biggest ever music icon to me. No-one can replace him, he truly was the King of Pop…
