     One of the hottest shows of the century will be coming to Schenectady NY.  Starting on Febryary 22nd and running through March 20th at Proctors Theatre.  You will have problems buying tickets if you did’nt get them early.  We still have some remaining at Craigslist Tickets.  You can call us direct or buy Lion King Tickets online.  These make great gifts, your whole family wil enjoy the show.  Believe it or not the play was influenced on the bible, the stories of Joseph and Moses were introduced into the theatre production.  The Lion King is the highest grossing theatre production ever made, shows are performing all around the globe as we speak.  Winning two academy awards and three golden globes the music alone is incredible.  It’s made many songs famous, a little known fact did you know the original title was king of the jungle?  This was switched two weeks before the disney film was shot.  Remember the old show kimba the white lion from the seventies?  There is still some of those characters involved in this play.  A big stumble for disney was playing the son the lion sleeps tonight.  They did so without asking the original owners if they could use their music.  An out of court settlement was reached that cost disney roughly 5 million dollars.  To give you an idea of how less important Lion King was, pocahontas was thought of second and pushed through, disney productions were wrong on this one.  A great show and film but pocahontas went nowhere and Lion King went skyrocketing through the roof. 

Proctors Theatre

     This is truly a remarkable theatre located in Schenectady New York.  Downtown is going through a total refurbishment at the moment.  Schenectady at one time was at the center of the world, with general electric once employing 50,000 people.  The capital district hsould be proud to have this entertainment facility.  On the national register of historic places many plays, symphonys, theatre productions and comics have donned the stage. Green is in at the theatre, Proctors has gone through a 30 million dollar renovation being completed in 2004.  But saving energy is at the top of their list, using many innovations and technologies to save energy.  From the light fixtures to using the heat from within the building for use on the sidewalks  (no snowblowers needed) to using enviromentally safe cleaning products Proctors is making for itself within the community.  LED technology and recycling have reduced costs trememdously over a short span.  Buying cheap Lion King tickets for all shows starting in February and going to March 20th 2011.  We have a huge supply of tickets now available.  The very first show will be packed but Proctors will have a super party for everyone in attendance.  The prices of tickets is determined by what day you will be attending, this is in accordance with the popularity of weekend events.  So you might be paying a few bucks more for weekend shows.  Listen after the show head downtown and see some of the sites Schenectady has to offer including restaurants.  Bring your camera and take some shots after the show with the Lion of your choice always a favorite with children.  Save money and buy cheap lion king tickets here and save money.
