Las Vegas Things To Do And See
What are the best things to do in Las Vegas?
I’m planning a trip to Las Vegas and am looking for some things to do. What are some things (places to visit, shows to see) that are not to missed?
Any ideas would be helpful…thanks! ![]()
Okay, I’ve actually been to Vegas many times before, but I’ve never really done anything fun like going to a show…I’m talking about specific things to do and places to go. Not just gambling, drinking, hookers, etc.
Aside from the party scene and gambling you may find the Springs Preserve really interesting. This is very interesting educationally if you are looking for a great learning experience and want to really experience the very eco friendly “green” movement. I could for a couple days about this place and still would not do it justice. The Las Vegas water district owns this and it offers so much if you are interested in learning about plant life ranging from palm trees to cactus’s to succulents, landscaping, etc. It is very futuristic as this place is all about being very environmental. I believe admission is something around $18.50, but this is more than you can take in over the course of a day if you really want to learn about everything. It is an extremely rewarding place to visit if you take your time and learn as there are over six acres of vegetation alone, with design studios, classes are taught here, etc. Wolfgang Puck also has a Spago’s café at The Springs Preserve. Here is a link to the Springs Preserve: www.springspreserve.org
Hiking is really amazing at Red Rock, located about 15 minutes west of The Strip, as is Valley of Fire, which is about 45 minutes out of Vegas.
Golf courses are plentiful in Las Vegas.
On The Strip you could visit The Fine Art Gallery at The Bellagio, The Guggenheim at The Venetian if you want to see some work from the masters; both charge admission. At The Mirage you can go see dolphins for a small fee. For $10 you can walk through the Ferrari dealership at The Wynn. The Venetian also has a relatively new Madam Toussou’s Wax Museum. At Mandalay Bay you can pay to go through a beautiful aquarium. One of the best buys you may find is going to the car museum at the Imperial Palace. Tropicana has the famous Bodies Exhibit. The Fashion Show Mall is across the street from The Wynn; it looks like a huge space craft hovering over the strip, as it is a huge sunshade; this is a great place to shop if you are looking for some great stores that you do not need a ridiculous amount of money to shop at. The Hard Rock Hotel is full of celebrity memorabilia and runs a free shuttle to the strip. Away from The Strip there is a huge outlet mall. Hope this has been helpful to you.

Things to Do In Denver When You’re Dead $5.94 After a foolproof scam turns sour, Jimmy the Saint (a soulful but miscast Andy Garcia, who mainly acts with his hair) and his hard-bitten crew must put their various sordid affairs in order before facing their final bloody curtain call. It’s not nearly as clever as it thinks it is, but this terminally wise-ass (and extremely violent) caper flick is still one of the better post-Tarantino crime opus… |
