Las Vegas Hotel Attractions and Famous Vegas Spectacles
Las Vegas is more than just casino gambling and night club partying.Las Vegas is home to a bunch of interesting attractions that you can only experience in Vegas. Some of these activities include gravity defying roller coasters, outdoor spectacles and live performances. Mirage Hotel and resort offers an attraction similar to the Bellagio foundations, the Volcano. Originally opened in 1989, the Volcano was recently renovated in 2008 for $25 million dollars. With the new upgrade, it makes it one of the best shows on the Las Vegas Strip.
The Volcano show takes place Monday through Sunday 8pm- 12am and is free of charge. Smoke and fire spray shoot 100 feet in the air, transforma calm waterfall into impressive molten lava pyrotechnics eruption. Another amazing and free attraction offered by Treasure Island is the Sirens of TI. The 17th century outdoor performance portrays, beautiful and enticing Sirens, as they try and take control over a crew of pirates. The performance features powerful singing, sword fighting, breath taking pyrotechnics and more. The show takes place in front of the Treasure Island on a daily basis starting at 7 pm and running every hour and thirty minutes.
Be sure to catch the attractive Sirens as they lore the pirates into their unexpected trap! While there are plenty of great free attractions, there are also some worth paying for. The Stratosphere Observation Deck is one of those spectacles. Standing over 1,000 feet, the Stratosphere tower is the tallest building west of the Mississippi and is more than twice the height of any other building in Nevada. With large indoor and outdoor observation decks, the 360 degree view of Las Vegas allows for an extraordinary photo opportunity.
The Observation Deck is open to the public Sunday through Thursday, 10 am to 1 am and Friday through Saturday 10 am to2 am. Price of admission is $9.95 for adults and $7.00 for Las Vegas residents, seniors and children. Bring your best camera and take pictures worth a thousand words. Another excellent attraction worth spending money on is Circus Circus’ indoor Adventure dome.Filled with roller coasters and other great games, children and even adults are bound to have a good time. The theme park opens daily at 10 am and goes to midnight. Price varies depending on the type of pass you get; Regular passes run $25 while Junior passes are $15. When you get tired of screaming your guts out on the rollercoaster, check out the free Circus show at 11pm. Stop procrastinating and experience the thrill and excitement of Vegas!
