Las Vegas Show Ratings
Do TV stations get ratings credit for people watching their shows online, if they missed the original airing?
I’m 24 and obviously I’m not going to stay home on a Friday night to watch Las Vegas. However it is the greatest show ever, and I watch it through NBC’s website sometime later the next week. Not that my one TV matters, but the networks base everything on ratings, and I’m sure a lot of people miss their shows originally and watch them later. Do the shows get this credit, so they don’t get taken off the air as easily?
The more people who watch the show on line, as they can monitor this, the more the networks can see that a show is popular and keep it on the air.
They have no way of knowing what shows you watch on your t.v.
Ratings are based on a small group of people who volunteer to be monitored in what they watch (Nielson families).
Unless you are one of these people they have no way of knowing what you watch.
