How to Organize a Holiday for Your Gardening Group

Organizing a holiday for your gardening group can be a fun and exciting event. Your gardening group works year round to grow beautiful plants to share with one another and the world. Now you get the chance to have the world share back with you and enjoy the world and all it has to offer.

Locations-Choosing a location can be quite the sorting task. Each member of your group may have a different idea that is a good idea. There are locations available all over the world you can choose. When you choose a location, make sure it is a financially viable and is affordable. It will not be anywhere near as fun if you cannot enjoy yourself while there, so you might want to start out by setting a budget and then seeing which locations are plausible.

There are hundreds of locations you can choose from around the world. In the U.K you could visit the Chelsea flower show, Kew, Hampton Court, Tatton Park and Harrogate. In Europe you could consider visiting the bulb fields of Holland or Monets garden at Giverny. In Italy you could visit the Italian Renaissance Gardens, Roseto Botanico di Cavriglia “Carla Fineschi” or the Azienda Agricola Amadriade. You will need to discuss this with your group as they will have ideas about gardens they have always wanted to visit.

If this kind of outing is a little too rich for your blood, you can always find things much closer to home. Canada has garden towns and bio-domes which harness the power of the earth and is filled with beautiful plants. If you need something even closer, with a little bit of research you can easily find something close to home, which will still excite your entire group. Use your budget as a guide and you will be fine. 

Getting your group together can be a challenge unless each of you are used to functioning as a group. Try to make sure that everyone has the following:

* Itinerary for the trip

* Flight number and ticket

* All passports and ID up to date

* All medications ready for the trip

Points to consider with you group may include:

* If you are traveling and staying as a group, try to take advantage of all of the available travel discounts. If you are renting hotel rooms, try to do so together if the hotel as a group discount that they offer.

* Entrance fees may also have a discount if you travel together as a group. Call ahead to verify if there are any discounts available and the best time to take advantage of the deals.

* Try to plan all of your outings together to keep short range travel costs at a minimum.

Once you have everything you need, your group should be good to go. Make sure everyone is early to the meeting point in order to avoid rushing. If all members of your group prepare ahead of time the trip should be stress free.
