Disney Lion King Broadway Tickets

Math word problem.. can u figure it out?

One hundred and twenty people attended Disney’s Broadway production of The Lion King. The total amount of money collected for tickets was $1515. Prices were $15 for regular adult admission, $12 for children, and $10 for senior citizens. Twice as many children’s tickets as regular adult tickets were sold.
How many tickets for children were sold?

35, 50, 70, or 15?

x = number of regular adults attending, so number of attending children is 2x.
y = number of senior citizens attending.

x + 2x + y = 120 (number of attending people)
15 * x + 12 * 2x + 10 * y = 1515 (amount of money collected for tickets)

Solving this set of equations gives us x = 35, y = 15. Hence there was 70 children attending.
