Broadway tickets summertime…..?

I’ll be in New York in July, and I was wondering if it’s better to get tickets for Wicked in advance online, or at a ticket booth for cheaper day of the show?

It would be cheaper to buy discount tickets the day of the show, BUT, so far “Wicked” tickets are not being sold at the TKTS Booth. There is a lottery for tickets held two and a half hours before each show and the numbers are drawn about two hours before the show – you have to be there with photo idea to get your tickets (2). They are good seats and cost $25 – great deal, BUT, at least 200 people show up for these tickets and they only give out about ten – so your odds of winning the Wicked Lottery aren’t that good. Sometimes they have last minute cancellations and those tickets are sold at the box office before the show, but those odds aren’t good either.
So far, this show is always sold out – so if this is on your “must do” list for your vacation, don’t take any chances and buy your tickets in advance.
