Arab Music Festival is one of the best festivals to attend in Cairo to soak Arabic culture. It is one of the largest festivals holding in Egypt. With the passage of time the event has proved divisive inside the professional community of musicians. This event is organized by Cairo Opera House. This year’s festival is holding from 2nd August to 8th August at Gezira Exhibition Grounds Gezira, Cairo, Egypt. Every year a huge number of visitors, musicians, instrumentalists, singers and established ensembles take Cairo flights to join this event.
The event has made its own place in the history of Arab Music by showcasing what is arguably the best of the genre on the Egyptian scene. The event is equally popular among both locals and visitors as this music fare presents a program rich in styles from northern Africa and the Middle East. After flights to Cairo his is a major event worth spending an evening at. Arabic music has a very distinct sound owing much to its unique instruments. A large number of artists perform in this festival including; The Saudi singer Mohamed Abdo, the musician George Sawa, the Egyptian singer Wagdi el-Hakim, Hani Shaker, Dr. Nabil Kamal, Hasan Sharara, Mohamed Hamza, Mohamed Sultan, Ibrahim el-Masri and Yasser Abd el-Rahman. This and a lot more will be waiting for you just after your cheap flights to Cairo this August.
The great Singer Laila Mourad is chosen as this year’s festival character, and the opening ceremony will present “The Soul Lover” piece for her. This music fair would also present pride and honor to a lot of other pioneers of music history who contributed to Arab Music industry. A large number of visitors take flights to Cairo from UK to attend this mega music event. The show will be starting every evening from 8pm to 10pm and will continue till mid night. This event will also include award and certificate distribution among best performers.
