Broadway Tickets Nyc Cheap

Where can I get cheap tickets for broadway?

Heading out to NYC in a couple days and I remembered that there was some place that sold cheap same day tickets for Broadway plays but I forgot the name, a little help here

TKTS booth Times Square at 46th and Broadway – the Marquis Marriott Hotel. Expect very long lines and bring cash or traveler’s checks – they don’t take credit cards. When you get there, one of you get in line and save the place and the others can go up front and read what’s available that day – have a list of at least four – they may sell out your first choices by the time it’s your turn to buy. Certain shows will not appear here – Wicked has never had tickets available here. Note: if you’re not trying to get tickets for a musical, there is a separate line for dramas – it’s much, much shorter.

There is another location at South Street Seaport – Water Street between Front and John – here, you have to get tickets for the next day – makes it easier to plan your day.

These places offer discounted tickets online – you have to join, but the membership if free, and, reading the sites, you’ll get good information about the shows; they also give discount codes.:

They offer very good discounts, and, if you order your tickets through one of these “clubs”, you are assured of seeing a show that you want and you won’t have to waste an hour or two standing in line. They offer most of the shows, on Broadway, Off-Broadway and Off-Off Broadway.

It probably won’t be showing by the time you get here, but, just in case, whatever you do, do NOT even think of seeing “Idol the Musical” – I saw it yesterday, in preview and I’ll be suprised if it makes it to opening night. It’s one of the worst shows I’ve ever seen – about some “fans” who have started a new religion – worshipping Clay Aiken. There were people who left fifteen minutes after it started (I should have been one of them because it never got any better)

Have a great time
