Broadway Tickets New York Times
going to new york city for a day trip in 2 weeks…what should we do?
so i just found out i have tickets to see bye bye birdie on broadway! which is super exciting, since i LOVELOVELOVE musicals and nyc.
the show starts at 8, so my friends and i have a lot of time during the day. any recommendations on what to do and where to go?
thanks:)
Honestly, if you are only going to be there for a day, focus on Time Square. There is plenty of stuff there from the huge Toy’s R Us, to the flashing lights and the shopping.
I’m sure you will be by radio city music hall. Be sure to see the tree at Rockefeller center, and the ice skating rink!
I wouldn’t eat around there though, if you can avoid it. It’s mostly just standard American fare (burgers, burgers, more burgers), and instead go over to 8th ave. There is a lovely little hole int he wall on the corner of 38 and 8 (which is still near Times Square) called Gogo Curry. It’s Japanese style curry. Not too spicy! It’s delicious, trust me!
There are some other good little chains like Grey’s papaya, if you like Hot dogs.
Hope that helps!
October 31st is a special KIDS’ NIGHT ON BROADWAY!
