Cops in SoHo?
What is the deal with the extreme ramping up of cops in SoHo especially at Prince & Broadway? First it was a few stationed along Broadway to ticket right-lane drivers. Now there is a full-on command post RV unit in front of Dean and DeLuca, cops standing in groups of 3-4 on each corner, and 4 horse-mounted officers. This has been going on for almost 3 weeks now. Today I saw 3 undercovers packing firearms wakling around with badges on neck chains.
None of them would offer up an explanation, so I’m wondering if anyone knows. Should we be worried about some long-standing bomb scare (no bomb squad seen in the area) or that our tax dollars are seriously being abused?
It is an impact zone, crime is on the rise in that area not a bomb threat. Stop questioning if your tax dollars are being abused, the last time criminals are less likely to commit a crime in front of 3 cops.
