Broadway Ticket Brokers Seats
Why are ’sold out’ broadway tickets still available on other sites?
TicketMaster shows tickets ’sold out’ through january for the broadway show we want to see (Mary Poppins).
However when I search on the net I find these tickets available on other sites (Tickets Now, Online Seats, StubHub) for higher that the listed prices. Heres what I really want to know:
1) Are these sites legit? How can I trust that I will actually get valid tickets? Any one site more reliable than others?
2) Who are the sellers? Is it the websites themselves or are they brokering for private sellers? Do I get the tickets at ‘Will Call’ or Fedex?
3) Do I stand a good chance of getting a better deal on these sites if I hold out until the last minute (or at least a few days before)?
Thanks!
NM
Because like for any sold out events, there are tickets available if you are willing to pay for them. Scalpers, ticket brokers, individual sellers where the person can’t or doesn’t want to go and in turn is trying to sell their tickets. I’ve used StubHub to purchase tickets to ’sold out’ sporting events and they are a legit site. I believe most of their tickets are from individuals who use them as a broker instead of hassling with the sale themselves. Expect to pay a bit more (depending on how hot a ticket your event is). No, they’re prices never change….if anything you may miss out on a real bargain because note the less expensive tickets are usually the ones that go first!
I suggest checking on ebay to see if there are tickets available for the play you want (it is definitely worth a shot), you might be bidding on them, but chances are the price may be a little more reasonable.
