Broadway Plays
Is there a big difference between the Broadway tours and actual plays on Broadway?
I just saw Wicked in Des Moines and thought it was phenomenal. Would it be even better if I actually saw it in New York?
I’ve heard people say that it’s even better on Broadway, but I’m wondering if this is because the actual cast is better or because the experience as a whole is better.
Sorry if this is a stupid question-I’m kind of a newb.
I could not disagree more with the last answer. I find the fact that you are still obsessing over the original cast of Wicked disturbing. Yes, they were all good… but they are all totally OVER RATED! Just because you originated a role does not mean you are the best. Over time the actors are going to find new things and evolve the role more.
Not saying there is anything wrong with Idina, Kristan or Norbert.
And to answer your quest, no. The show is 99% the same in Des Moines as it is in New York. I have seen the show 5 times only twice on broadway… the show is the same on the road than it is in New York. The Elphie you saw on tour previously was on broadway.
